| MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT... Hello Simmental Breeders, My name is Tyler Johnson and I am the new 2012 Minnesota Junior Simmental Association President. First off I would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the wonderful Simmental breed, the MSA, and the MJSA. I would especially like to thank everyone who sponsored our junior program by buying spots on our MJSA T-shirts for 2012. I am currently a freshman at the University of Minnesota majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Vet. I along with my parents, Tim and Kari Johnson, and my younger brother Clay, live on a small beef farm outside of Peterson, Minnesota where we have about twenty cows, eight of which are my own registered females. I have been very active in FFA and 4-H throughout high school and I cannot wait to further extend my experiences by becoming further involved with the MSA and MJSA. I have an excellent officer team this year that I am looking forward to working with. It is going to be a great year for all of us. My main goal I hope to accomplish as President is to get more youth that are involved in the Simmental industry also involved in the junior association.
